Day 10: January Mindful Writing Challenge

Clear and crisp. Air feels fresh today down here in this unfeeling concrete industrialised world. It feels cold enough to freeze in our drafty warehouse. There it’s dusty in the shadows. Outside a slight breeze keeps the air moving and the early frost has gone. The sun sits low in a pale blue sky. Faint clouds scurry by. The light turns the bark barren trees golden brown. The fallen mulch looks mud-dark. Rain has taken any crunch from the windfall. I stare out. A phone rings behind me. I ignore it. Instead I revel in a cheerful winter day.
